The Cleaning Show Review 2025
The Cleaning Show 2025, held at London’s ExCeL from 18-20 March, reinforced its position as the UK’s leading event for the cleaning and hygiene sector as it welcomed over 8000 attendees.
Over three days, the event highlighted the latest advancements in cobotic technologies, infection control and sustainability, reinforcing the industry’s commitment to efficiency, safety, and environmental responsibility.
With 157 exhibitors showcasing the latest innovations to attending cleaning and facilities maintenance professionals, the event provided an essential platform for networking, knowledge sharing, and business growth. Leading companies in the sector including Nilfisk, Jangro, Robert Scott, Kärcher, and Reckitt Pro Solutions, all launched brand new products and services during the event, allowing attendees to explore and gain insights into the solutions and technologies driving change in the sector.
The show also provided a key space for industry leaders to meet with new faces and strengthen existing relationships, ensuring continued growth and progress within the cleaning and facilities management industry as the focus turns to attracting the next generation of talent. Including the FWC’s 2025 recognition awards, and the Window Cleaning World Cup Challenge.

WINDOW CLEANING WORLD CUP CHALLENGE 2025
The Cleaning Show brought challengers from further afield which included the winner 56 year old Frenchman Franck Lauret who took the cup with an overall time of 14.48 seconds – Lauret has also won the International Window Cleaning Association (IWCA) competition – a comparable event in the US – 13 times. However, this is his first World Cup win in England.
Stephen Fox – Window Cleaning Warehouse came second with 14.67 seconds overall time.
Terry Burrows, came third place with an overall time of 15.25 still holds the Guinness World Record for the fastest window cleaner on the planet, his world record set in 2009 stands at 9.14 seconds – which Terry Says “You don’t just do this, “You train to do this.”
Terry Turbo has appeared on TV consistently since the mid-Nineties, setting world records left, right and Centre. He was programmed with Usain Bolt on This Morning and The One Show. And has written and released a song called “Bucket of Love”.

The window cleaning Expo UK Stoneleigh held in the Midlands on the 28th and 29th March 2025 was well attended. The window cleaning competition proved as popular as ever, and the winners are pictured below receiving prizes sponsored by Moerman and Maykker products presented by Jason Knight and Terry Burrows.
Pictured below is a packed seminar on “the dangers of overhead powerlines”, hosted by Jason and John Knight.
The session highlighted the serious risks faced by window cleaners when working near live overhead cables and reinforced the importance of planning each job carefully before any equipment is used. Attendees were reminded to check the surrounding area, maintain a safe distance from powerlines, and ensure that poles, ladders and other window-cleaning equipment are handled responsibly at all times.
A leaflet on window cleaners’ safety, explaining the correct use of window-cleaning equipment near overhead powerlines, was handed out to everyone attending the seminar and is also available on the FWC website for members and visitors who would like further guidance.
