Window Cleaner/Driver Vacancy

We are looking to employ a dedicated and hard-working Window Cleaner/Driver to wash the windows and glass surfaces of various buildings. Responsibilities include using water-fed poles to clean windows at various lengths, transporting all equipment and supplies to job sites. You should also ensure that the company vehicle is clean and well-maintained.

To be successful as a window cleaner you should adhere to health and safety regulations and have a good sense of balance. Ultimately, an outstanding window cleaner should be able to safely operate lift equipment as well as demonstrate excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Removing dirt and grime from windows and glass surfaces using a non-abrasive glass cleaning solution, water, and rubber squeegee blades.
  • Determining whether window glass is clear, reflective, or tinted, and adapting window cleaning techniques accordingly.
  • Using a scrim or microfiber cloth to dry around the edges of the glass.
  • Using towelling cloths to remove excess water and moisture from window sills.
  • Ensuring that all window cleaning and lift equipment are in good working order.
  • Ensuring that the company vehicle is adequately stocked with window cleaning supplies at all times.
  • Appropriately cleaning up after each job to ensure that there is no residue or dirt left behind.

Window Cleaner/Driver Requirements:

  • Valid driving license
  • The ability to work at different heights.
  • The ability to work in all weather conditions.
  • Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills.

Experience Desirable, however on the job training will be provided

Window Cleaner working 0600-1400 (hours can slightly change) Monday – Friday. A total of 40 hours per week at £11.25 per hour. Discretionary bonus’s’ paid depending on experience

Job Role

  • Carry out all window cleaning tasks in accordance with the cleaning schedule
  • Take ownership of Health and Safety for yourself and others at work
  • Complete all work in accordance with current legal Health and Safety requirements
  • Ensure any appropriate warning signs are always in use
  • Observe and comply with site rules and regulations at all times
  • Maintain equipment and materials in a clean and safe working order
  • Report all machine and building faults to line manager

You will help to generate new custom by promoting our services to potential customers.
